Prerequisites
Be 18 years of age or older before the start of the course
As the first level of professional qualification the Divemaster Course will license you to organize and conduct diving activities.
The Instructor Development pathway begins with the PADI Divemaster Course and is the first professional level in the PADI system.
Your journey into dive leadership starts here - Dare to be challenged!
The PADI Divemaster Course consists of three modules: Knowledge Development, Water Skills and Stamina, and Practical Application.
You'll probably progress through all three modules simultaneously, based upon the course schedule you and your instructor agree upon.
During the Divemaster Course you will develop leadership skills and professional-level dive knowledge and abilities.
Earning the PADI Divemaster Certification distinguishes you as both an accomplished diver and a leader, at the doorstep of becoming an instructor if that interests you.
If you want to do this course in the shortest time then you must have read the Divemaster Manual and completed the Knowledge Reviews from it; you must have completed the Diving Knowledge Study Workbook; and practice your watermanship skills.
