IANTD Cavern and Cave Introduction
For those of you who are fascinated and addicted to diving in the cavern underworld, for which the Maya people call xibalba (the underworld), there is only one way to continue: become a Full Cave Diver.
As a Cave Diver, you can enter the cavern's limits and experience a world without daylight. Using your underwater lights you can penetrate hundreds of meters into the Cave System. By following a nylon guideline (which are set up in all known caves systems here in the Tulum area) you can explore safely. And you can learn to set up your own guidelines.
The full cave diver course takes about 8 days. If you wonder why you should have to carry around heavy dive gear in the jungle, probably getting bitten by mosquitos while enduring this course... here's the reason: When you enter one of these stunning underground water systems, you'll know it's worth the effort and will want to see more.
